Well 2 buddies and myself each had a tag so I knew it was going to be a tough hunt to fill them all. I got busted Thursday night by a tom and then missed him on Friday night after work. Saturday was okay. We got a bird going but moved on our location to reset up and he went right to where we were. The wind picked up and shut things down. Sunday morning, one of the guys could not hunt so it was just two of us. We had a tom come in to 35 yards and then hang up at 9:30. At 1:30, I killed a 24.75 pound tom with an 11.5" beard and 1" spurs. 2 hours later, we set up on a big hill and saw 2 bears, 6 deer and 2 toms. The first time the toms came in, my buddy missed so I started cutting hard and they hammered back. From there, they walked right down his barrel. I just got a call from buddy #2. He set up where the tom hung up yesterday and today at 10, called him in and got him. So we went 3 for 3 this weekend. Not bad with a few misses and bumped birds. They are done for the year, but I have 2 more tags.
