Title: Looking for some different chokes to try out of a mossy 500.
Post by: Songdog2012 on May 03, 2014, 06:08:27 PM
Hello i have a mossy 500 ported barrel, im looking to try some different chokes out of it in varying constrictions. Wanting a choke that patterns #5 or #4 lead shells cosistently.

I am willing to pay or possibly just try a few wihout breaking the bank. I figure maybe someone on here has tried a few and mite have a couple laying around.

I can pay or even possibly trade some turkey hunting items for them, if you have any please
Let me know, i believe the win choke threads are the same as well as the standard invector chokes, thanks

I've got an extra Comp N Choke that I use to use.  Had it in the gun for 2-3 years.  Shot several birds with it.  Probably has 25-30 rounds thru it.   I changed  it out for a Primo's JellyHead, in .660.  The JellyHead had a much better pattern with Heavy 13 #5's.   If you want it, I'd be happy to sell it to you.  Don't think I'll ever use it again.  I'd sell if for 1/2 price of new, plus shipping.  If that's fair.   Shoot me a pm if your interested.

Some makers will swap their tubes for you if you don't like them. Trulock and Pure Gold come to mind.
