Finally after nearly 3 weeks I got to visit my favorite farm and break the ice!
Long story short...had one bird show himself on the edge of the field around 8:00 but evidently he did not like the herd of cows around the decoys - neither did I!. At 9:45 another bird entered the field and after watching him strut across the hillside highlighted by the sun for a gut wrenching 45 minutes I pulled the trigger on him at 10:30
Had a first this morning as I used a trumpet from Austy (along with my little Doan's tube) to help coax him in.
