Title: Burris ff 3 issues
Post by: turkeyhunter91 on May 01, 2014, 09:15:14 PM
Hello i am having some issues with a burris ff3 and was wondering if anyone else has had this happen. Yesterday after I got home from hunting i wiped the scope off, turned it off and put the gun up, yesterday evening i got it back out and noticed that the scope was on and it wouldn't turn off or change brightness levels, so I took the battery out  and put it back in, but the scope wouldnt come back on so I took the battery out again but this time it came back on, the automatic setting worked fine but when you put it on the medium setting it would automatically kick it to the low setting. Well today i tried it and the automatic setting still works but it goes from auto to low and then back to the medium setting. I emailed them and they said I can ship it back but I was just wondering if anyone has had this happen to them, I didn't know If maybe a low battery could cause It or If It Is probably something in the scope. thanks

If you have a multi meter/volt meter check the battery. If its less than 3 volts try replacing the battery. I had a similar issue and it turned out the battery cap was loose.

I will check that, thanks for the help. I am thinking that it maybe the power switch because you can barely push it and it will work ok but if you push it all the way in it will skips settings

You're probably right but it would stink to have to ship it out if was something simple. Especially while the season is open.
