I killed this bird Saturday morning on some new hunting ground I got access to this year. Heard him gobbling on a ridge just before daylight. My son and I made the long hike up the ridge set up and couldn't do anything with him. Finally eased our way to his strut zone, yelped a couple of times along with a little scratching in the leaves and he walked straight to us. 12in beard. 1 1/4 spurs. 22lbs.
