Hey all, i am wanting a good holly box call. My question is what lid you would suggest for it and who makes a good sounding one. Thanks
Albert Paul
:agreed:
Holly with a snake wood lid mr Richard Hudson and mr whitt
What kind of sound and pitch will that holly box produce?
I'd definitely say either snakewood or ebony for a lid... Albert Paul or SS for the makers...

Here is one of Albert's speciai calls named after his grand-daughter Laura... " The top and bottom are made from Pink Ivory from Malawi, South Africa. This unique pink wood is matched with Holly to produce authentic turkey sounds. The Holly box is inlaid with Pink Ivory; the Pink Ivory lid is inlaid with Holly. Not only is it a beautiful call, but a very functional one. "
