Title: Long Beards: Anyone break 300 yet?
Post by: Borden811 on April 17, 2014, 12:40:29 PM
I figure with all the turkey gun fanatics on here, and all the great setups, someone has had to have done it. So, have you? If so, what was the setup?

I haven't yet but I think I can this summer when the weather gets hot and dry. Gonna be tough though.

I shot 275 last week at 41 yards, 60 degs, and a little breezy. I think I've got a chance, but I agree, it's gonna be tough.

I have seen a couple proclaimed just over 300 with 3.5" 6's.

I've witnessed other guys hitting 280 but I'm lucky to hit 260.

I've shot them in 3.5 inch 6's from mid 20 's and up above 70 degrees and I've gotten from 250 on up to just over 280. Patterns are way more even at 70 but only 20-30 pellets more than 25. I''ve reached my limit of pellet counting ocd boredom so if somebody else can reach 300 more power to them.
