Title: North Texas.
Post by: Tomfoolery on April 10, 2014, 03:13:09 PM
Have an opportunity to hunt north Texas around Crowell.  But the only weekend I'm able to hunt is the weekend after Easter. Is it worth going up there that late? Are the birds normally still gobbling that late? Thanks for any advice. It's my cousins lease and he said they heard turkey's gobbling in every direction opening weekend but were all bunched up with hens.

Not late at all, you might be surprised at the results. I'm headed
To west central Texas that same weekend. Best of luck to you.

You should be fine. The birds I am hunting south of Uvalde are a little behind this year.

Thanks guys. I really haven't had time to get after em at home. Been really busy this year. That trip to Texas might be my shot at a bird this year.
