Title: New member from coastal Virginia
Post by: Selluwud on April 07, 2014, 06:59:57 AM
I am a 61 year old novice turkey hunter. When I was younger I was my grandfather's hunting buddy from 6 yrs old until I was 18 when he became unable to hunt due to age. He hunted my butt off. We hunted ducks, geese, deer, and just about anything else that moved, but never turkey. I live on a 190 acre farm next to a James River estuary and have seen turkeys make a great come back over the last 20 years. I have set up a blind in a hedge row between to fields where I've seen many turkeys. This past Saturday, a week before the season opens, I went out before sunrise and scouted my set up. I need some advice and will put out a question or two on the forum. Thanks for having me.
