I bought a 3in benelli vinci steady grip with a 24 inch barrel. Should get the barrel back soon sent it to rob roberts to get forcing cone lenghting, ported and have a .655 & a .660 chokes coming also. I plan on shooting 3in hevi #6 anyone have any experience with this combo or this gun.
I shoot a Vinci with a 28" barrel and 3" Hevi-13 with #6 shot through the SSX and it's a potent combination.
Rob does an excellent job on guns and I'm sure you'll be very happy with yours when it's returned.
Good luck this spring.
Thanks,
Clark
Congrats on a fine gun. You will love hunting with it! I hunt with a 28" barrel vinci and just recently added a steadygrip for turkey hunting. Didn't know if I would like the steady grip at first but after shooting it I can see the advantages to it. With the hevi 6s and chokes you plan on shooting I see no reason it shouldn't run somewhere near or at the 200 count range in the 10" at 40 yds. My best combo are magblends and .650 sumtoy which go in the 220 range under good weather conditions. I have found my gun shoots the best numbers with a slightly fouled bore. With the chokes/load you plan on shooting it is likely to be very tight inside of 25 yrds, you might give some thought to some kind of optic as your gun is drilled and tapped from the factory. I added a bushnell trs 25 to mine to use during turkey season and it greatly helped centering the tight patterns at close range. :welcomeOG:
Yeah I just put on a dnz mount with a leupold 1-4×20. Thanks for the replies

Awesome! Post up a pic of it if you can. My vinci is my main wingshooting gun, but I switch it over to turkey in spring. Someday down the road I'd like to pick up a plain black one with a 24" or 26" barrel and set it up as a turkey/deer combo and use my other one strictly for wingshooting. Sounds like you got a great rig!
