Ok, it looks like my barrel is screwed(no pun intended).
Is the JH still salvageable, or will it need to be replaced. It has kind of a rough spot on it, almost like a burr.
We need pic's,,,,you will be able to tell more about your choke when you get a new bbl.
the choke is allot harder than your bbl. and may be fine as long as it threads and seats easy in the new one!!!

I see. It isn't something easily seen. More of a feel thing. I don't want to damage the new threads in the new barrel, but this is now getting pricey.
have you seen or do you have a tool to clean your car battery terminals? This would be a good way to clean the threads on your choke and will not harm them. A good wire brush too.

Why is the barrel screwed? Evidently I missed something important.
