Title: Who makes a scope that has extended eye relief?
Post by: deadbuck on April 01, 2014, 11:56:38 AM
I have a single barrel 10 that has the base attached directly over chamber, not halfway down the barrel. Does any body make a scope that allows you to see without getting your head close to the scope?

A single shot 10 ga. produces a fairly noticeable level of recoil . Some of the low level EER scopes may not stand-up over time. My only experience is with a Bushnell Banner 1.75-4 turkey scope. This scope gives me 7" + ER on the 870SM 3.5" gun.

There may be other scopes that will serve you well.

Ultradot red dot! Research these things, they will take any recoil, I have them on. 10 gauges with many rounds and they are the olny thing that held up!,

I have two Bushnell Trophy Turkey scopes with Circle Reticle and they have plenty of eye relief on my 3" 12 and 3" 20.

I have a $59 Simmons 3x9x40 on it for experimental purposes right now. Have killed 2 birds in the past 2 weeks with it and am not concerned with getting bit by the scope, but I cant see good through it. Have made the determination that I do like a scope on a turkey gun now just need to get a good scope

Swarovski 1-6x24EE is what you are looking for, they come with illuminated reticle.  Not sure if they are in the budget though.  I would just get Burris FFIII

I have a Nikon Tukey Pro, it seems to have plenty of eye relief for my 870 12 ga.
