Have shot a Rhino choke for last 10 years . Ran a code black today through super x 3 and all I have to say is unbelievable... 675 nitro 3.5 2 7/16 lord help them turkeys.. :fud:
I just found out how awesome they are as well...a real sleeper in the choke department.
I traded for a 3" 12gauge Browning BPS today and it had a new Patternmaster Code Black Goose, with it. The constriction isn't marked. Anyone know the constriction or how it might work with turkey loads.
Have no idea on constriction for that choke.. But I do know I can't count the numbers in a 10" circle at 30 yards ..
meatgrinder is your choke the goose model?
Actually I think the goose model is not "constricted"...if I read it correctly it has to do with the wad stoppers and the length of the choke. I know the Code Black Turkey has a constriction as well as the new Striker Series.
I may be incorrect but that is the way I read it....give it a whirl and see how it does!!
You may be pleasantly surprised like I was!
I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF ANYBODY THAT HAS A MOSSBERG , TRY THIS CHOKE ????
Mine is the turkey model 675 constriction.. Not sure about goose model. I know it is the real deal out of my gun though.. Winchester and nitros love it
I've shot a half-dozen chokes (Rhino, Jellyhead, IC, etc.) through my 870 Supermag, and the Patternmaster Code Black by far patterned the best. Inside a 20" circle at 40 yards, I get 90% plus patterns with TSS and Hevishot. Kinda expensive (around $100) but when I have a strutter in my sights, the cost is irrlevant.
has anyone used them in a 835?
Anyone shot 3x5 Turkey Thugs thru it with an 870? :blob10:
