i know its a newbie question but are the double spurs that rare ive always heard that bearded hens were rare but i seen 5 last year
Multiple spurs are incredibly rare. Bearded hens are pretty common, usually it's cited as 10-20% of hens will have beards. It seems to vary by locality, I see multiple bearded hens every year. Multi bearded gobblers supposedly run a bit under 10%.
They are few and far between.
sounds like i was lucky i know its a newbie question but i had never really gave it a whole lot of thought
I've never seen that before
Seen some killed but rare
how long do the secondary spurs get?
I never get tired of showing these hooks off. ;D

Nice. They are very rare....
wow now thats something
Iv run across a couple sets but they are few and far apart indeed. Saw a triple spurred bird killed near nelsonville ohio in 1988 or so. Not by me tho...dang it.
I have seen hundreds of dead turkeys and zero with multiple spurs!!! Plenty of bearded hens and multiple bearded birds but not a multi spur!

I find it equally as rare that you have 2 left hands.
You should buy a lotto ticket.
