Are you wearing glasses?  Maybe an astigmatism?  I have that same problem when I wear my glasses

Most scopes have an adjustable eyepiece, you back it off until its blurry, then slowly turn it until its clear.

I don't wear glasses. and I don't think you can focus a red dot like a regular scope.. Its prolly just me getting old

I had the same problem with mine....it has something to do with being inside????  That is what the Truglo folks said anyway, when I go outside it goes away.

Go figure....kinda weird to me.

Create a pinhole in piece of paper or card stock and look through that.  If the blurriness or double image goes away, it is your eyes.  This is an extreme version of what happens when you go outside to brighter light and your pupil contracts.  Usually the center of your eye has the least astigmatism.

Could be you or the sight  Three things can cause this, first is astigmatism.  Rapscallion did a great job explaining why your astigmatism show up more in low light vs bright light.  Second is oil on the lens causing distortion.  Clean the lenses well with Q-tips and good glasses cleaner.  And the third is the quality of the coatings on the lenses.  High end sights have better coatings to produce the sharpest dot image.  In every case, turning the brightness down to the minimum you can see will help.
