I would say that is about the max range for that load in your gun. It will definitely kill turkey's at 40 yrd's.
Patter looks pretty good. I would be a little concerned about the center having a gap like that.
not bad for 5's. like chatterbox i would not like the donut in the center. have you considered trying 6's ?
That will kill but you are close to being maxed out on range.
fire away
not bad, but there are some holes in the pattern
I rarely ever shot that far, I prefer shots 30 yards or closer. :icon_thumright: I think I will leave it at that for the time being. :z-guntootsmiley:
you will be fine. that is a killing pattern

:agreed: You are at the end of your range.
Shoot boys I aint lookin for the 40 yard shots, I like them close and personal. :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright:
If he breaks 42yds, he's coming out over your shoulder.
Nothing wrong with patterns like that at all, especially if a man only wants 40yd capability.
As mentioned, #6s will fill in your voids and far more energy than required.
Good Luck this spring,

ok pattern. i got 129 pellets with 3" 5 shot hevi, 143 hits with 3" hevi 6 shot and 175 hits with hevi 7 shot 3" yesterday at 40yds. i have a mossy 835 with a ic choke. i deep cleaned my barrel and used a hoppes bore snake after every shot. ur pattern will kill but i wouldnt go any further than 40 with the 5 shot. thanks for the pics.
good luck hunting
