Title: What Choke?
Post by: Hardtime_NC on March 14, 2011, 06:25:45 PM
My friend has a new Winchester SX3 26" barrel.  He has several boxes of Remington Hevi shot # 5's and is dead set on using them.  What choke do you think would work well with this combo?

He really has a lot of excellent choices with that barrel and those shells. I've shot many of those RHS shells over the years and as a matter of fact, still have about a case of them. I've shot them with the Wright's #2 more than any other choke tube and always saw good even patterns, not the high numbers that we see today but considering that shell has only 1.5 oz. or 1.625 oz. of #5 shot, you could not expect to see them.

Thanks,
Clark
