Ok, since the Federal Heavyweight stuff is ten times easier to find around here, I am thinking about switching over from Hevi-13. What chokes are you guys using that shoot the Fed HW #6's?
For the record, I shoot a 870SM with a 23" barrel.
Can't speak to the choke, but why shoot 6s unless state law requires it? The 7s have way more penetration than you will ever need and lots more pellets, i.e. better patterns to boot. They are a whole different animal from HS 7s.
I have tried them all, the factory full choke for my Remington's with the 21" barrel would do 140-150 at 40. I bought one of George Truelocks chokes, it was built for the #7 Heviweights. I can do 150-160 with the #6's. But the #7 will put up 180's

I didn't think the factory full (for most all guns) is not rated for anything other then lead? I could be wrong but I know that's the case on my benelli and franchi guns

Mine shot fine, but I only ran about 6 shots through it.
As long as it is rated for steel, factory full flush works great. I can get killing patterns in my NEF single shot fixed modified choke. Killed a bird at a fudge factored 45 yds. Unintentional long range, but I knew I was inside my limit.
