Hi guys wanted some opinions. I plan to pattern some longbeard and wondered which shot size y'all recommend with an sx3 with kicks gt .670? I know you can't tell me for sure just in general.
Lead 5s or heavier than lead 6s

Don't be afraid to pattern all 3 shot sizes of the Long Beards with that setup. :OGturkeyhead:
the #5 are great out of the longbeards :OGturkeyhead:
Inside 40 yds it will make no difference. They will all pulverize a turkey.

I Just patterned my SX3 yesterday using a briley .665 choke and longbeard #5 and Supreme HV #5. At 40 yards the long beards were so tight that I will not hunt with them unless I get a more open choke. If I am a little one way or the other I would miss. I am going to use the Supreme HV #5 shot for now. The pattern is a little more open and I feel more comfortable with it. Besides I have 8 boxes of the supreme HV. Will be some time before I have to buy a more open choke. With a .670 I would say you will have a better hunting pattern. I tried 3" and 3 1/2 shells in #5 in both long beard and supreme HV, there was not a whole lot of difference between the 3" and the 3 1/2" shells. Also with the patterns I was getting in long beard #5 shells I think it will obsolete #6 shot entirely, as kill capacity of #6's fall off at 40 yards and more, at least that is what I think, use to find #6 shot in cardboard at 40 yards. I didn't like that.
