Title: Made my first few mouth calls (sound clip)
Post by: a1412 on March 12, 2014, 10:18:48 PM
First post on Old Gobbler and i love the forum.  I have turkey hunted for a long time and have killed my fair share of turkeys will all types of calls.  With that being said I have always had issues with mouth calls fitting my narrow and deep palate.  So I have been making a few of my own calls.  I think I am getting close to design shape and size that fits me better.  I used supplies from pioneer and bought a feather Ridge hand held from a friend.  I have included a sound file from you tube I hope it works.  I would love to hear what people think.

You'll continue to kill your share of turkeys with those calls.   :welcomeOG:

Sounds pretty good, man - welcome to OG!  Is it possible for you to record your calling outside, in the woods, maybe 20-30 yards away?  I've found inside recordings to add an extra "shrill" to mouth calls.
