My narrow pallet requires I use a youth frame call. The back of my pallet is also really deep allowing the back of the call to tilt up in the back to the point that it makes it hard to control which reed I am trying to manipulate. I think a longer frame with the right amount of tape could help keep the call from tilting up. Do they even make a youth long frame mouth call?
I will run a mouth call simultaneously as I run push pins , makes a incredibly realistic fighting rattlle
I have a messed up pallet also , a bump pallet , I have a bump in the center of the roof of my mouth - I turn the calls at angle of 10-15 degrees to operate , and am limited with what calls work well for me
a couple of good calls I like are woodhaven black wasp , hooks executioner 2 , and for kee kees and quaker boy kee kee , or xt calls xtreme kee if your into fall hunting etc...
the new woodhaven black wasp is utterly incredible -- try one .....
those are all good calls that work well even with some one who has a small mouth , hooks also has a full line of of youth calls
There is a narrow frame that's longer than a youth but I believe it's width is between a regular frame and a youth. Problem is I suspect few if any have a gig for one, so that leaves it to hand building the calls.
Where could you find those frames?
