Title: tactical stock recoil pad
Post by: Tbrom on March 09, 2014, 05:51:19 PM
I was reading another thread on recoil that got me thinking. I added a Knoxx tactical stock to my 835. It has the recoil reduction in the stock.  I was wondering if others used the stock recoil pad or if you used an after market pads with their tactical stocks.

With the knoxx stocks you can get a prefit limbsaver pad for it to replace the hard as rock pad that came with it, which is what I did.  I also have an ATI adjustable stock that I put a slip on limbsaver pad on it, It came with a piece of junk slip on pad.

Do you think they help? And how much length of pull do they add?

They probably add a half inch or so, and they do help in my opinion. Of course you can adjust your stock length to make up for the extra little length.....unless your already at the minimum.
