Turkeys never seem to lose their fear of humans. At my uncles place, while near the barn or house, you could hand feed them, but once in the field or woods, they were as wiley as any wild turkey.

Used to turkey hunt place like that the old lady hated the turkeys but loved the deer she would every morning and evening take a coffee can of corn out for them. that place was only place I've ever hunted where hunting was to easy you were automatic on tagging out on birds but couldn't even think about the deer
