Title: Hello From Southeast GA
Post by: bdavis315 on March 07, 2014, 01:08:12 PM
This will be my first season attempting to hunt for turkeys. Purchased my gun back in January left hand escort 12 ga feels better on the arm compared to my right handed maverick 88 pump. Been reading these forums trying to learn all i can i'm very excited to have found a good place to read and learn about different topics related to turkey hunting based on real world experience.

Got my turkey choke made by William with sumtoy went out to his shop and he build the choke right on the spot for the shells i plan to use long beard xr. Also picked up a sweet buckshot choke while i was there. I have been practicing with my callers trying to perfect my technique got an aluminum slate caller with 2 sticks and a push button box call and 3 different mouth callers.

Plan to hunt on Fort Stewart in a couple of the training areas that allow shotguns. Along with some land behind my house that has shown promising signs.
