Title: Henned Up In South Florida...But I'm Still In Love!
Post by: HunterMan on March 07, 2014, 08:53:47 AM
Been a couple times and birds on my property are henned up bad. Two gobblers fly down at daylight with bunch of hens. Land in the middle of a pasture and then just go out further in the pasture. I have seen them as late as 1 PM and still with hens. I'm fustrated, aggravated, and many other things.....I know I am a turkey addict because I LOVE it. Can't leave them and am going back after them this weekend.

Ever thought about setting a blind up out in the pasture?  You could search for the thread I started when asking about brushing in a blind.  Evidently turkeys don't mind a blind just right out in the field as long as you keep the back window closed up and dark inside.

Something to think about.  Good luck.  :OGturkeyhead:

Get tight to him on the tree and gobble at him.

If you must.... A blind and strutting jake decoy in his pasture will probably put that bird in range quickly.

Do the hens have a pattern after spending time with the Tom ?

If they are not randomly leaving the field, set up where the hens are exiting.  Often the Toms will follow
