I was looking around on here earlier and seen a post. Im pretty sure it was about an 1187 shooting 3" long beards. He had posted his shot count and some guys were suggesting different choke constrictions. I have looked for it several times on here, and for the life of me, I cant find it anywhere. I have an 1100 mag that Im trying to get dialed in for long beards. I will either shoot 5's or 6's, but I would prefer 5's. If you can point me in the right direction to that post it would be greatly appreciated. Also any advice on chokes would be greatly appreciated. Oh this gun has a 28" barrel. Thanks
This may help!!

I can't offer much help on that long barrel. Or the 3" shells. But I will say I've seem some jam up performance out of the .655-.665 range with 3.5" #5s through my 23"'barreled 870 SM.
