I purchased a David Halloran Ceramic Pot yesterday at the Dixie Deer Classic. Was wondering what strikers everyone uses on ceramic.Always good to see and talk with David. Thanks for any info.
I TRIED ALOT FOR WHAT I HAVE AND SNAKEWOOD SOUNDED THE BEST .....
Mike Yingling's fiber striker is awesome on my ceramic calls. Actually, it's been awesome on every call and surface I've used it on.
I love yellowheart on mine, its kind of a higher sweet young hen sound good break
Persimmon , walnut or hickory. The plastic strikers work good to, especially if it's raining
I prefer ebony striker on my Halloran ceramic pot. It gives a little more rasp.
Dymondwood for my Kaiser & Lights Out ceramics...
I'm liking ceramic more and more these days...
mudhen
I like Padauk, Maple, and Cherry strikers on mine.

BEST STRIKER MONEY CAN BUY

Buddy Stang makes one of the best strikers money can buy. It is a laminated striker and it will make any call sing. I bought his 1st place crystal call at the NWTF convention which is amazing and just for curiosity I tried the striker on other calls I have and it opened up a whole new world. Call Buddy 724-561-4727 and talk to him I don't think he has this striker listed on his website yet but you can't go wrong.
