Title: Those looking for 336 base...
Post by: the Ward on March 01, 2014, 09:55:24 AM
I don't have one! But I found something that may work as well. Fowler Pride makes a base whose mounting holes/pins looks identical to a ff2/3. It is a one piece mount with built in protective wings and looks to be pretty low profile. They have them for a few models like the benelli, and I believe Mossberg and rem. You can see them on Midwayusa.com in the optic section under red dots mounts and bases. I don't know how to post a link.Check them out, looks like it may work as well or better than the 336.

This would be sweet if they make one that is 870 compatible!   Gotta look them up.

Yea that's the one! That's the route I think I'm going for a base when I upgrade to a ff2 or 3 on the benelli. Thanks for posting a link to it!

The only thing I am concerned about is their version takes a 1632 battery where the FF takes the 2032.  I never had a 1632 in-hand. Not sure if it is smaller in diameter or not or if it would cause any problems.

I just got through talking to MidwayUSA customer service and they say the fowler mount will not fit the FFIII. it is made for Fowler red dot 170076
