Title: A big Thanks to Yingling and Houndstooth
Post by: Onpoint on February 28, 2014, 04:58:02 PM
I' mainly use mouth calls to work my birds in. I'm really partial to a ghost cut as an all around call and I also really like the woodhaven copperhead. With the other brand of mouth call I used I wasn't very shoot with the consistency from call to call.

I ended up talking to Lyle at houndstooth and ordered several of his mouth calls.  I absolutely love these calls. They are my favorite mouth calls I've ever ran and I've ran just about all of the big name companies and a few of the smaller companies. I've ran a lot of good calls over the years but for me the houndstooth had been the best. A big thanks to Lyle at houndstooth.

Also I wanted to add a copper call to my arsenal this year. It's no big secret that when copper calls come up so does the name Mike Yingling. I called mike up and told him what I was wanting and within a week it was here. I was pleasantly surprised that this call plays softer than my Sneed slate. Very very versatile and realistic sounding call. A big thanks to Mike.

I stopped using store bought pot calls several years ago and now have a nice collection of every surface pot call I could want. I'm glad I've finally found a custom mouth call maker that makes exactly what I want too. No more big name mouth calls for me from now on. Can't wait for season to start.

Thanks
Justin

Lyle puts out a great call, makes each one as if he was going out hunting with it
