Title: NEED HELP REPAIRING AN OLD SCHOOL REMINGTON 1187 SYNTHETIC STOCK (UPDATED)
Post by: SKFOOTER on February 27, 2014, 09:17:40 PM
I have an Old School Rem 1187 in the Brown Trebark Camo pattern and the plastic stock grip cap broke off and into several pieces.  I realize that finding one in that camo pattern will be all but impossible but can someone help me find one in any color??  Thanks.   :help:

I'd try Numrich Gun Parts (I think that's how it's spelled) they carry a pretty big inventory of gun parts that are out of production. Midwayusa also has a lot of stuff too, I know that they got a section of "universal gun parts" that may have a grip cap close enough to match. If all else fails if maybe you can try Remington themselves they may have old stock repair parts inventoried for warranty work. Good luck, I hope you can find one that works.

I called Remington this morning and told them about my situation.  The guy in the Parts Department said he felt like the black grip cap with the gold scripting should fit my shotgun but he wasn't 100 per cent sure.  So he's sending me one free of charge and if it does not fit we will go from there.   Now that is what I call excellent customer service!!! :OGturkeyhead:
