Title: Barrel Polish
Post by: hawk on March 13, 2011, 12:51:12 PM
Could there be a substitute for JB polish? I have the reg. JB Bore Compound but the polish is hard to find. Brownells probably has it but hate to place such a small order.

This polish is superfine. If it won't hurt aluminum wheels it's not going to damage the inside of a gun barrel.

Any sort of fine metal polish will work.

I've been using Montana Extreme bore polish and Montana Extreme bore oil(similar to Kroil). There are many others, Flitz, Isso, etc...

Even used some 4/0 steel wool soaked in oil on a real rough bore once with good results.
