Is it the ipe striker people talk about

Ipe is also known as Brazilian Walnut.  It isn't the same as Desert Ironwood.  Of the two, I prefer the Ipe.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE IPE AND THE IRONWOOD IS ABOUT  20 BUCKS A POP LOL.........AS THE IRONWOOD HAS NOW BECOME MEXICO'S NATIONAL WOOD......SO THEY ARE LIMITING THE EXPORT ID YOU GET IT OUT OF THERE, THANK GOODNESS FOR ARIZONA......SWEET STRIKERS THERE WEST

Thanks Pappy.  And you are right. The blank for that striker was about $50 without doing anything to it.

Yep, if folks only knew the prices of the woods we use they would tend to understand the cost of a call or in this case your strikers...

Try buying snakewood for strikers. It's gone through the roof.

Bill, that Snakewood striker cost $125.  Got me 4th place in decorative striker last year.
That blank alone was $85

Snakewood sure isn't cheap. Nice strikers you have there. I have a friend in Evanville that maybe able to help you out on the Snakewood.

Thanks, I may hit you up on that source. I did find a much cheaper supplier in Florida.  Great quality and much better price.
