Title: A Conversation with Doc
Post by: allaboutshooting on February 24, 2014, 12:08:17 AM
I can't say enough good things about "Doc". His book "Turkey Tails and Tales from Across the USA" is one of the best I've read.

If you are a turkey hunter or just enjoy a good read about traveling over the USA, you should buy this book.

I've sent it to my friends all over, turkey hunters or not, to enjoy the adventurers of this man who so obviously enjoys life and traveling over this great country of ours.

Tom "Doc" Weddle is the real deal. He's a true American turkey hunter who shares his common man approach to turkey hunting.

This is not some person who shares their theory of hunting but a man who has really done it, the hard way, just as you and I might want to do it. Start out in the spring, in your pickup truck, sleep in the bed, travel at night so you don't miss a sunup in another state...got the idea?

You can follow him over 30 years as he hunts all over the USA, meets some of us along the way and celebrates the beauty of our country.

Doris and I could not have had anybody better to spend 3 days in our booth with in Nashville.

He's a very gentle man who will spend as much time talking turkey with you as you want and a man that I would welcome into my home or turkey camp any day and for as much time as he'd like to stay.

Please stay tuned for "A Conversation with Doc" to come shortly.

You'll enjoy his book and if you have the opportunity his comnpany.

Thanks,
Clark

Doc is a FULL-BORE turkey hunter for sure and boy-o-boy can he tell a story.   Good stuff.

I would like to cast another vote for Doc's character. He is the real deal. He has been there, done that, and has the tee shirt to prove it! I ordered his book shortly after it came out and had to pace myself so that I did not read it without putting it down. I have had the opportunity to correspond with him, on several occasions, and he is solid gold. Integrity is his middle name..
Do yourself a favor and get ahold of him and order one for yourself. Ask him, and he will take the time to personalize the book with a note to you.
Great guy. Great book.

I too will cast my vote for Doc and his book. I am not much of a reader. But when I got his book I couldn't put it down. It's like you are sitting around a campfire and Doc is telling you stories about some of his hunts and I could do that all day every day. It is definitely worth it to get.

I've had the pleasure of reading Doc's book and sharing a few meals with him.
He is a classy guy and probably a general in the tenth legion. :icon_thumright:

I got an address for Doc. If you buy from him directly, he will personalize it. This can't be done if you buy it online. The price is the same, either way. ($35 hardcover/$25 paperback),  add $4.50 for shipping
I hope this helps..
