Well im gonna get me another benelli and trying to decide between a 21" m2 or a 24" sbeII. I mainly use the 3" shells. Is the 3.5" capabilities worth the extra$$$$$$$ I have always shoot 3" with no complaints from the birds.
My vote is for the 21"! You know yourself, as many shells as you pattern, that you really don't need a 3.5".
Ridge Rooster
Sbe2. I don't always use 3.5's but it's nice to have the option. My sbe2 doesn't pattern 3" hevi t shot well when I coyote hunt with it but the 3.5's pattern well, so having the option is a nice benefit..
I had the same choice a few months ago. I went with the SBE2 just because if I was gonna spend that kinda money on a gun I plan to keep forever I was gonna get the. 3.5 option. I may never need it but it will always be an option
SBE II, no contest...

I'm partial to the SBE 2. I love mine!
SBE2. Even though you think you'll always shoot 3in, someday you may change your mind. If you do, then your gun will have that capability.
I have a SBE II and a M1 and there isnt a question the SBE2 is out of the safe on a regular basis while the m1 gets limited use. I have the original SBE as well and it splits time with the SBE2.
Send me a PM if you want a SBE2
I have m1 and sbe 2...I love both guns but my m1 throws wicked patterns with 3" HS #7. I use my m1 for turkeys and sbe2 for waterfowl
I have both and the nod definitely goes to my SBEII. I've never owned a shotgun that fits me as well as it does, it's like an extension of my arm. Because of this, I shoot it very well. I've made some difficult shots on turkeys that I feel I may not have made with another gun.
