Title: Escort 12ga
Post by: vthokee on February 23, 2014, 11:22:32 AM
I picked up a new Escort 12ga magnum the other day on a impulse buy. I read a lot of good reviews online. Just wondering if anyone on this forum has any experience with one. Maybe what choke tube works best with it. I really like using the heavy shot and have some of the old white shells #6 shot left that I am going to use this year.

Shot one yesterday.  It put 202 in the 10 with Win LB.  Now only thing I see is this gun comes with 3 different chokes.  One mobile one a mix between Rem/Win and then one I have no clue of.

mine came with 3 mobile chokes and from what I have researched is what it takes. What kind of choke were you using?

The one we had in other day had mobile choke with Rem bore.   The one yesterday had Rem/Win set up with Mobile bore.  :bike2:

This was a 650

you had me second guessing myself so I went and looked at it. It appears that I have 3 remington chokes with mine. When I was looking at the Mobile chokes the threads were all at the top and mine threads at the bottom.

Two of them look like Remington.  Now Remington will not fit.

well I am at a loss on what style it is. everything points to Mobile choke system from reading info online but when you look at the chokes and were they thread in the barrel I am stumped.  :TrainWreck1:

mobile is same other then it about 3/32 shorter.   That will not hurt.   REMINGTON set up is remington length with winchester OD.    Now the other choke they say is unique to it's self. I never had one of them in shop.

You will need to have one built.  The body of a Remington Is to big in OD.  You need to have it turned down Winchester OD..  It is hard to explain.   It is the part above threads
