What type of turkey vests are yall using? I am considering upgrading to the Cabelas Tactical Tat'r II. Heard alot of great things about it.
That's my favorite. :happy0064:
I have the Cabelas Tactical Tat'r and love it
Mine started life as a Cabela's ultimate, supreme something or other. I still like the basic pocket design so I stick with it. But it has been modified extensively, padded straps added, pockets sewed into the game pouch, back padding added, padding added to the seat, 3D leaf sewed on. It is now custom one of a kind and fits my needs well.
I have a vest but rarely use it. The ghillie suit from cabelas I wear has tons of pockets, hence no need. I have a seat that buckles at the waist too.
Ol Tom time in Motion vest for me.
I've a Bob Dixon vest. I thought I was crazy for spending that much for a vest but I love it.
Russell version of the MO limbhanger....love it and the OLD buck lick creek highback lounger........love it too.

Limbhanger for me, but I have my eye on the Tactical Tat'r 2.
No vest for me.
The Bob Dixon is my favorite, but I put it away and now use a Limbhanger.

I used to have one, and it was Legit as it gets! I know you'l enjoy it ;D
Ol Tom Time and Essentials vest. Just enough bells and whistles for what I need, without a ton of pockets to get stuff lost in. Very light too.

I have the same one and it is great, like the seat being easy to deploy for my afternoon nap. To me you need to trry them on and decide which one/kind feels better to "you".

:agreed:
I've got a Gobblers Lounge vest. I believe it was made by a company that no longer exists, Little BigHorn. I absolutely looooove that vest. Its not the greatest on storage, but it has an internal frame that allows you to sit anywhere, comfortably. No tree necessary, no sore spots in the middle of the back. The down side is that it is a little bulky, but not bad. I like bein able to hit the ground in a split second and set up without lookin for a suitable tree. Don't know what I'm gonna do when it finally goes kaput. If anybody knows of a similar vest let me know cause I got one maybe two more seasons left on this one and then I'm either gonna find a seamstress to make one based on the frame or learn to sew.
I hunt ridges and mountains. Bob Dixon vest was too heavy and my Super Elite was too hot. Dug an old MO Longbeard vest out and sewed some old bottomland fabric on the straps. Its sweet and light.
limbhanger for me.
I have two Super Eilte III's, those vests are a joy to hunt out of.
I had several of the Bucklick Creek lounger vests that I really liked. The only problem I had with them was they wore out in a season or two! Seams coming apart, pockets tore open, etc. I still have one in Shadow Leaf that I can't bring myself to throw away, one of these days I'd like to have someone fix it up so I can use it again.
