I finally got to get out and shoot the Long Beards today. It rained all last night and almost half of the day today, but as soon as the sun started to poke through I was off to pattern!!! Humidity was high today & I shot a 192 and a 185 at 40 yards (lasered & Taped)....I feel confident that when it dries up and gets a bit warmer I'll put up over 200 in the 10" with a 18.5" barrel. The choke was a SumToy .650 and the gun was a Weatherby PA-459 with a 18.5" barrel.....I'm VERY pleased!!!

OH...my bad :TooFunny: ......I'm gonna hunt with the Weatherby this year. I might try one or two of those shells through my 24" 835 w/ a SumToy .675 on Sun.
Good luck to ya. I want to see a bunch of harvest photos!

Very, very nice Tim!

Thanks Man!!! When I saw that gun I HAD to have it!!! It doubles as a home defense gun and a turkey gun. I personally think Weatherby hit a home run with it & I'm surprised I don't see more guys using the PA-459? They make it in 20ga. too.

I guess most guys don't consider it fer rooster hunting is its a 3" gun. To me, 3.5" is overkill, my shoulder included. Love the way it looks and ghost ring sights to boot! :camohat:
Those are some beautiful even patterns. My guns are punching bullets hole with a corona. Lethal but nearly to tight. Good job.
