Title: New hevi shot?
Post by: slave601 on February 19, 2014, 11:45:48 PM
So has anyone shot this years hevi shot? I heard a lil something about different wads in the new shells? Anyone shot the new reduced magnum blend? Or is all the new magnum blend gonna be reduced recoil? Lots of questions about hevi shot around my part of the world. What's y'all's input

Unfortunately you have to buy shells as they pop up with a good lot number. I just picked up 5 boxes of good shells off of this site.

I picked up a couple boxes of magblends at bass pro over the weekend and they shoot great out of my stoeger m2000 with a .665 kicks gobblin thunder.

I've been shooting the 3.5" mag blends and straight 7's for a few years now, every shot I've made has proven to be extremely lethal.

That's good to hear. I picked up 3 boxes this weekend also. Along with a new M3000. I never shot the old ones so I don't have anything to compare it to. But if they pattern like the 3-2-6's I've shot, I feel sorry for the turkeys..

I think you will like the way they pattern, I am shooting a m2000 with a .665 kicks gobblin thunder. I didn't shoot a 10" circle, but at 40 yards I put 106 hits through the head and neck of one of the HS strut turkey targets shooting hevi shot mag blends.
