Title: Still flocked up in Hampton county SC
Post by: TheTwistedOne on March 12, 2011, 11:31:17 PM
Went to scout some today where I plan to hunt opening day.  Saw three longbeards in a bachelor group together.  They are gobbling first thing in the morning but the birds are still flocked up.

Any other lowcountry guys seeing different?

Gobbling on the roost up here in Berkely county.  Not much after flydown.  They are roosting with hens.  The hens have been pretty talkative after flydown.  I had a longbeard come by me this morning at 20 yards from behind me.  He never made a peep.  That is what I noticed this morning.  The birds I heard quit gobbling altogether at 7:25 new time.

Thanks, it's not just here then.  It's feast or famine hunting when they are like that.  Good luck Tues.
