Title: Browning BPS
Post by: hardluckstrutter on February 17, 2014, 10:48:16 AM
Going to set up my fathers BPS for him. It's a 3.5" with a 28" barrel. Don't have a lot of experience with them so would appreciate any info on choke/ shell combinations.

Thanks in advance!

Mine only has a 3" chamber, but it gives nice, even patterns with a Pure Gold .670 and Hevi-13 #6s and #7s.  Lead rounds prefer a Comp-n-Choke .670.

i shoot 3.5" Winchester supreme out of my 12 ga Browning Bps 24" Barrel and run a Gt .675 and it just  plain kills everything i have shot at...8 for 8 since i put this setup together.I have reason to shoot Hevi shot over lead at all.

I have a 3" bps also and constriction wise they seem to like .665 thru .675. That is usually the sweet spot for turkey loads both htl and lead in inv.+ guns.

Indian Creek chokes has worked well for me in several BPS's.

3.5" H-13 #6's.
