Title: First timer! Slate/glass- Bloodwood striker
Post by: RatherBeHunting on February 15, 2014, 08:39:16 PM
Call is made from a nice piece of padauk. It's slate over glass. Striker is two piece with bloodwood used for business end.

I've been making pot calls for about 10 years. Usually about 15-20 each year. I'm a machinist/toolmaker by trade that enjoys making turkey calls and hunting turkeys. Each call and striker are done on a small engine lathe, one at a time.

Thanks guys! Appreciate the nice comments.

Pics don't do the padauk justice. Striker is well balanced and sounds awesome. Gonna make somebody happy!

That's way nice.  It looks like you can get busy with that striker.  Nice touch!
