God Bless
Those will be some tasty little buggers...
Nice Wes !
Very nice. Fine eating you've got there. O
Wess..
Have you ever tried an electric filet knife? You could have that mess cleaned in 15 minutes and only have one stinky hand!!

Thanks guys!
Mike,
I have never messed w/an electric much but as long as I have my knife sharp I can typically clean a gill in about 45 seconds filleted. And most of the fish I catch are too small to use an electric knife. LOL!!!
Wess
Just a thought, brother. I watched a guy clean a mess of fish with an electric knife about 20 years ago, and haven't used a conventional filet knife, since. They really do work once you get used to them.
:icon_thumright: that's a bunch of good eatin'
The electric filet knife is good advise. I bought one a couple of years ago and love it. With gills and bass under 2lbs., you just cut right through the ribs with the electric filet knife, once you have your filet off, you just carve out the section with rib bones. I have cleaned hundreds in the last couple of years, my neighbors love when I drop by with fresh filets. They really love when we invite them over for a fish fry. OK, now I'm hungry!!!
Nice, I'll bring the grits and hush puppies.
Nice mess of Gills Wess. I pulled 2 Muskies through the ice yesterday in a little cove off the Detroit River. We caught a total of 4 muskies and 1 pike.
By the way, what technique do you use to catch winter gills. I have never fished for them in the winter. You got me thinking!!
