Heres a couple pot calls I have built. I am trying to learn a little bit about it before I bite the bullet and buy a lathe. Cherry slate and oak crystal.(http://i1105.photobucket.com/albums/h351/timberjack86/turkeycalls002_zpse5d6e6d0.jpg) (http://s1105.photobucket.com/user/timberjack86/media/turkeycalls002_zpse5d6e6d0.jpg.html)
Nice looking calls. How do they sound?

They sound great to me. I am gonna hunt with them.
looking good. Nothing like calling in a bird with a call you made.

Very nice! I plan on making a few here soon.

Did you turn the pots yourself or did you purchase them as a kit?
I purchased the pots.I am thinking about buying a lathe this summer and trying it myself.
I purchased the pots also, wanted to get my feet wet before jumping in. looking to turn some of my own pots this year.

Just a tip... Get yourself an inexpensive set of calipers and jot down all the specs of your purchased pots. That will Really help in the learning curve. When you turn your own pot, you will be surprised how small dimension changes can effect the final sound. I think John (Bornagain64) will agree with me. We have trashed our fair share of pot calls. Lol
:TrainWreck1: thats for sure.
I could have a bonfire for a high school pep rally with my mess ups.
