Post by: Briar on February 12, 2014, 05:20:24 PM
this is embarrassing to ask as I have been using mouth calls for 25 years, but is there a method to know which side goes on the roof of your mouth?? :thanks:

Thanks for the question. I have wondered the same thing several times, I just can't ever remember to ask it while I'm on here.

Longest reed goes towards roof of mouth.

That and normally there is slight bump/hump on the frame where it is pressed to hold the reeds.  That bump will go down so you can feel it with your tongue.  Helpful when it is still dark when you put your call in.
