Title: New Decoy
Post by: kdsberman on February 10, 2014, 05:01:02 PM
My wife just surprised me with a new Avian-X LCD Feeder hen decoy.  She said she's been doing research and thought she would buy me one to try.  It might not be up to DSD standards, but holy cow is this thing realistic looking.  Though im not a real big decoy user, im anxious to try this thing out.

Sweet gift. Sweeter wife. Few husbands are as lucky, I'm sure.

My favorite few gifts from my wife over 32 years have been hunting type gifts. Sadly, she only goes that direction about every decade or so! She feels bad every time one of her gifts doesn't really get me all excited, and then asks me what she should have gotten me. To be clear, it is a fine line I''m walking there with any reply! It usually goes something like this,  "I loved that antique duck decoy you got me 20 years ago...thanks for the beautiful robe though, I love it. Perfect color."!

Avian turkey decoy that she researched to make it the best gift it could be. WoW! A lot of jealous hunters out there today!

They are good looking. I think the wings are a little too white and they are rather heavy compared to DSD but still a very nice decoy. I still have not had a chance to see their strutter, hands on.

I'm a big DSD fan, but the new LCD series don't look too bad....

Lighter & smaller this year...

I simply cannot travel with the DSD jake, but I might be able to wing it with the LCD jake, get it?  Wing it?

Ha, I crack me up....
