Title: trumpet?
Post by: Rockhound on February 04, 2014, 11:18:22 PM
I'm in the market for a trumpet call, I can run a wing bone decent and I like them because it keeps me from over calling when it really matters.

Who makes a good affordable trumpet? I dont need one for a beauty contest just one that sounds great and will last.

I'm looking more along the traditional lines :)

Setting here thinking the wing bone I run was made by my grandfather, who passed away this summer. I have a piece of 30-06 brass from the 21 gun salute at his funeral this past summer. I would really be interested if one of this sites fine call makers could incorporate that onto a trumpet. Say saw the head of the case off and inlay it in the wood and kind of have it where the mouth piece runs out of the neck of the brass?

That would really be neat.

If you want something representing the Military I have two remaining "M-1" trumpets that were originally introduced on Veteran's Day, 2012.  The ferrule on this trumpet is from a 30.06 shell casing.
