Title: Browning Gold Stalker 3.5
Post by: Borden811 on February 02, 2014, 04:51:47 PM
Ok, I know every gun is different. That being said, is there a choke or two that performs particularly well in this gun? I've got a bunch of hevi 13 2.25 oz 7's, and some original black hulled hevi shot 3" 5's. I picked up one of these that's "broken" and plan on turning it into a turkey gun. Any suggestions?

Call William at SumToy Customs....He will fix you up & offers a GREAT exchange/return policy (which you probably won't need) !!!  http://www.sumtoycustoms.com/   :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright:

Try a Hevi13 choke.  My Maxus loves it(inv+) and I get outstanding patterns with the 7's.  Also, look at Indian creek , or pure gold.

My Browning gold 3.5" liked the .670 pure gold, .670 Jellyhead, .665 Indian Creek, and loved the .675 Indian Creek.  This is with 3.5" hevi 6's and 7's.

Mine put up better #s with a .670 sumtoy but i went with a .670 rhino. It lacked a little in the 10" but the overall 20" was better. This with 3 1/2 hevi7s

This is something I have tried to get guys to look at.  They want them crazy numbers.  They are nice to have but in real world may not be needed.

Thanks for the suggestions fellas. I'm supposed to pick this thing up tomorrow. Provided I can "un break" it, I'll start scrounging for chokes. It looks like William will be getting a call if I can get her running.

I use a .665 Indian Creek in my Browning Gold. It patterns great with Mag Blends, 6 and 7's.
