Buy one pot call, what would it be? Any surface.
Probably slate.Although not the loudest or most weather hardy, slate seems to be the easiest for me to get good consistent sound from with a wide array of strikers.
Slate.

probably glass for me
without a question....slate

Darrin Dawkins walnut aluminum
SS Customs Slate. Slate to me is the most realistic....however, I own about every type of pot call surface made!!!
Wouldn't buy it. I'd make it. It would be a walnut pot slate over glass.

Another vote for slate.
Going with a slate
I agree I like slate the best....but aluminum is a very close second!!!
God Bless
glass
Ceramic
Glass. It'll get loud but with the changing of striker wood and pressure , you can really tame it down for some soft talk.
#1) Glass #2) Slate IMO
Glass closely followed by ceramic.
Slate, the op never said we were limited to one striker, and that's were things get fun, Ipe, Osage, Purpleheart, Dymondwood, Persimmon...
My "Lights Out"anodized aluminum call offers the most consistent, pure sound. It's a killer and that would be my choice.
Without any hesitation it would be Slate.
Ceramic fan here.

I really like that yellow stuff that Primos put on their pots. Don't know what it is but has a great sound and wet weather doesn't bother it....Danny
