I have an 870 super-mag, B-square mount, with a FFIII on it. I want to have the gun drilled and tapped. I haer alot about the 336 base. Do I buy a weaver 336 base and have my gun tapped for that base so the pic mount that I have will work?
???
You need the Burris FF mount for the marlin 336

I already have the pic mount so I guess the best thing to do is get a weaver 870 base and have it drilled for that.

I'm not sure if this is the correct one. I'm wondering as well. I believe the fastfire III's included base should mount right to the 336 base.
gophert where can i get one of those protectors that you have in your picture?

Jim Ward of Warbird Turkey Calls here on the forum used to sell them. They only fit the Fast Fire II, not the III. You would have to check with Jim and see if he has anymore.

Curious if you guys know what gunsmiths are charging these days per hole to dill and tap a receiver?
Really would don't want to go with a over the reciever type mount but drilling and tapping can get expensive.

Check with Sumtoy. He drilled & tapped my 870 for me. Nice man to deal with.
Just picked up a two piece weaver base for my 870. having it drilled and tapped for one piece. Should have it back next weekend.
i charge 65.00 plus shipping . that includes the weaver base of your choice. Bryan Strickland (REDMAN) 912 253 0654 call or text
I had my 870 drilled and tapped for the 336 mount. 2 holes for $30.
good price for 2 holes. the weaver bases have 4 holes and i charge 12.50 per hole.im basing my price mainly on weaver bases but prices would be different for other applications.
