Title: Remington 870 choke tube/sling questions
Post by: jdlong123 on January 29, 2014, 02:30:03 PM
I have a Browning Silver that gets the job done every year, but decided to order the 870 Express Supermag turkey/waterfowl edition simply because I love the mossy oak bottomland camo and want a gun for backup or to let my buddies use when they come along with me. I plan on shooting the Hevi 13 3.5 #5s or the longboard xr 3.5 #5s or 7s. Could somebody reccomend a good choke tube for this gun. I would also like to knew who if anybody still makes a mossy oak bottomland sling that I could get!! Thanks in advance for the help!!

I've gotten good results from a .660 JellyHead in my 23" barreled 870SM. It preferred mag blends over Hevi 6s but both are were excellent hunting patterns. If you are wanting to run 5s I'd suggest the .665 JH.

I have a 870 SM 28", Hevi-13 choke, 3" Magnum blend. As for a sling, on eBay, u can find a para cord sling that will match your gun!
